Learn MoreExercise physiology is clinically prescribed movement. Our Accredited Exercise Physiologist works out how you move, what is holding you back, and then builds a program that fits your body, your goals and your week. Same evidence base as our physiotherapy, applied over a longer arc.
Jordan Pankiw is an ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) and runs the service from our Brunswick clinic at Suite 1, Level 1, 30 Sydney Road. If getting to us is hard, he can see you at home within 5km of the clinic, or over Telehealth.
What exercise physiology helps with
- Mobility and function. Rebuilding strength, gait and everyday movement after injury, surgery or illness.
- Falls and balance. Targeted balance and coordination work to cut falls risk and rebuild confidence on your feet.
- Chronic disease management. Structured programs for cardiovascular, metabolic and respiratory conditions.
- Mental health and wellbeing. Regular, achievable activity that supports mood, energy and routine.
- Pain management. Progressive loading and movement retraining for pain that has stuck around.
- Independence. Building the capacity to do your own daily tasks with less help from other people.
Complex conditions we work with
Jordan has a genuine interest in inclusive practice and works alongside families, carers, support coordinators and the rest of your allied health team. That includes spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, vision impairment and Down syndrome, as well as other neurological, developmental and sensory conditions.

|---|---|---|
| Initial assessment | 45 minutes | $155 |
| Standard consultation | 45 minutes | $135 |

Everyone starts with the 45 minute initial assessment. After that, most people settle into either the 30 or the 45 minute consultation depending on how much hands-on supervision their program needs.
Funding pathways
- NDIS. Self-managed and plan-managed participants are welcome. You will need a referral so your coordinator can write us into your plan.
- Medicare. GP referrals accepted under a Chronic Disease Management plan. A gap payment applies.
- DVA. Gold and White Card holders are welcome with a valid GP referral. We bill DVA directly, so there is nothing to pay at the appointment.
- Private. No referral needed. Pay the fee above, or claim a rebate if your policy covers exercise physiology.
