A fall is rarely about one bad step. It is usually a slow build of weaker legs, slower reactions and a bit of understandable caution that shrinks how much you move. Each part of that is trainable, and the earlier it is addressed the better the result.

Who this suits

  • Anyone who has had a fall, or a near miss that gave them a fright
  • People who have started holding furniture or walls at home
  • Older adults who want to stay in their own home longer
  • Dizziness or unsteadiness that has been medically cleared
  • Family or carers who have noticed someone becoming unsteady

What we assess

Leg strength, standing balance with and without vision, how fast you can get out of a chair, walking speed and how you turn. These are measurable, so we can show you progress rather than just promise it.

What the training involves

Progressive strength work for the legs and hips, balance tasks that get harder as you improve, and practice at the specific things that worry you, whether that is steps, uneven footpaths or carrying shopping. Home visits suit this work well, because we can train in the rooms where the risk actually sits.

Head2Toe also offers physiotherapy and vestibular assessment if dizziness turns out to be part of the picture.

Book the 45 minute initial assessment online, or call the clinic on 03 9326 0168 and reception will work out the right appointment and funding pathway with you. See pricing and funding for fees, NDIS, Medicare and DVA details.
